The E34 M5 currently sits at number two on my list of likely next vehicles, I’m just being patient and taking time to test drive as many different vehicle on my list before making a decision. However, this M5 found by one of my peers at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has me thinking maybe I should get ready to pull the trigger sooner rather than later. It’s a pretty clean example with a few minor cosmetic flaws that might help keep the price down. Compared to E28 and E39 M5s, the 90s models remain an excellent value.

I really hope somebody can rescue this one from the clutches of the speed hating, freedom crushing nitwits of Virginia. That this car lived in such a unfriendly driving environment makes me wonder if it has led a rather easy life and is primed to live out its days in a state that won’t jail a person for speeding.

Would be a pretty great story if a Jalop gave !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! a good home. Will it be you?

Cheers,

Andrew

Andrew Maness writes about cars because he has one and also has a computer. He’s been known to drunkenly tweet as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and upload photos to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . He also has a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and thinks talking about himself in the 3rd person is really weird but knows it’s necessary if he wants to be taken seriously as an automotive journalist.

Item location: Pearland, Texas, United States

If it was VA, it’d probably be local to me... Oh well.

Says it was bought from Charlottesville originally. I do technically have some sites out there so may justify a road trip.

KBB (though taken with a grain of salt) has it priced closer to $9k. Sure collectability adds value but I dont think anyone is going to store away a 100k mile BMW to let it appreciate.

At least it made for a catchy title.

Oh I have no doubt there are lovers of these cars in Virginia, just referring to the asinine speed limits and consequences for exceeding them.

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out where it was. Back to looking for E30s and 240Ds!

Haha, I was saying I should buy this. Seems like it isn't in VA though.. Another commenter noted that the location is in Texas.

Uhm.. Hi. I’m from virginia. I’ve not been jailed for speeding. And not all of us are speed hating freedom crushing nitwits.

I know, just the lawmakers.

I love Virginia as a state btw. I feel the need to make that clear.

The lawmakers, and the VA troopers who get their jimmies off for pulling someone over going 5mph over the speed limit just because their car has a stupid hood scoop and huge xbox like wing. Factory rice.

Kinja'd!!!

(the car is no longer “slammed.” This is the day I got her)
